ABOUT ENGADINE
The Engadine is located in the south-east of Switzerland in the canton of Graubünden. It is one of the highest valleys in Europe and is known for its clear lakes, majestic mountains, and the world-famous town of St. Moritz.
However, I prefer neighboring Pontresina. The Engadine is home to the only national park in Switzerland.
The Engadine houses with their mighty stone walls and funnel-shaped windows impress at first glance because of their architecture. Its soul, however, lies in the artistic decorations, the sgraffiti. A typical example of this is the village of Guarda.
