ABOUT KANCHANABURI
The province of Kanchanaburi in the western part of Thailand has seven national parks and many sightseeing points. Famous is the Erawan Wa- terfall, and equally beautiful but much less known is the Huay Mae Khamin Waterfall.
The Death Railway, built during the Second World War, includes the River Kwai Bridge, the Hellfire Pass, and the Krasae Cave, all of which are worth visiting. Very interesting is the Tiger Cave Temple, located on a small hill surrounded by rice fields, sometimes filled with ducks.
In Sangkhlaburi, near the border with Myanmar, stands the remarkable Mon Bridge, the longest wooden bridge in Thailand. I visited this wonder- ful province in 2014, 2020, and 2022.
